Special Assembly was conducted in school to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti. In commemoration of the achievements of Mahatma Gandhi, speech was presented by a student in English, accentuating the fact that 2nd October has been declared as the International day for Non violence by the General Assembly of the UN.
The speech was followed by a session on Waste Management by Guest Speaker Dr Rajath Chitari, assistant manager at Goa waste management corporation, based at Saligaon Bardez. The session was intriguing and enriching for one and all gathered.
Students had performances in Hindi and Konkani based on Cleanliness drive. Interesting videos on Cleanliness, also added luster to the
Special Assembly.
Master Austin D’cunha, student of STD 7 read a poem titled “THE IDEA …THE MAN” ..composed by our very own and talented Tr Greta Lopes.
The poem encapsulated that Gandhi is  not just a person but an ideology..an idea.
Ms Rama Mehta, representative of Lions Club visited the school and over viewed the Cleanliness drive taking place in the school premises.
