The atmosphere was electric with joy and anticipation as students graduates, parents, and teachers gathered to celebrate the Graduation Day of Class XII at Manovikas English Medium School on 14th June 2024. The ceremony, held in the school’s beautifully decorated auditorium, was a memorable occasion filled with heartfelt speeches, awards, and emotional moments.

The event commenced with the ceremonial grand marching of the graduates. The principal, Mrs. Maria Norman, delivered the welcome address, congratulating the students on their hard work and perseverance. “Today, we celebrate not only your academic achievements but also your growth and resilience. As you step into the next chapter of your lives, remember to carry forward the values and lessons learned here,” she said.

The highlight of the ceremony was the distribution of diplomas and the rolls, where each graduate proudly walked across the stage to receive their certificate, amid applause and cheers from the audience. This was followed by the oath recitation ceremony. The first place toppers of Science, Commerce and Humanities were also felicitated for their dedication and hard work. The valedictorian, Ms Kiera Dias delivered an inspiring speech, reflecting on their school journey and expressing gratitude to teachers and parents for their unwavering support.

Guest of honor, Mr. Allan Abreu, the former principal of GVM, addressed the gathering, sharing words of wisdom and encouragement through his encouraging speech and music. “Embrace the challenges ahead with courage and confidence. Your education has equipped you with the tools to make a positive impact in the world,” he advised the graduates.

In her closing remarks, the section head, Mrs. Brenda D’Cruz, emphasized the importance of lifelong learning and the pursuit of one’s passions. She also acknowledged the efforts of the organizing committee, teachers, and staff who contributed to the success of the event.

As the ceremony concluded, graduates tossed their caps into the air, symbolizing their readiness to embark on new adventures. The evening ended with a reception, where students, teachers, and parents mingled, capturing photographs and cherishing the memories of this significant milestone.
