On the 12th of July, it was a moment of great joy & pride for Manovikas English Medium School as our students participated in celebrating Bastille Day and honor France’s rich history and culture in the Cosplay competition <<La Magnifique Mascarade>>, a competition where participants dressed as famous French personalities and delivered a 5-minute monologue organised by the Discipline of French and Francophone Studies at Shenoi Goembab School of Languages and Literature at Goa University and brought laurels to the school by displaying their outstanding skills and won all 3 prizes in the middle and high school category. Miss Athena Naval Naik of class 6 won the first place for her portrayal of Madame Marie Curie, master Keith Fernando Sa of class 8 won the second place by enacting the character of Gustave Eiffel and the third place was won by master Keon Skye Barros Colaco of class 5 for his act of Napoleon Bonaparte. These winners showcased glimpses of their talents in a cultural extravaganza to enthral the gathering and make it an eventful day for all present on the occasion. French teacher at Manovikas English Medium school, Sibyl Vaz says “Students were very enthusiastic and excited to be a part of this competition. It was such an honour to be a part of this wonderful event.”
