Rakhi – A string that connects the wrist to the heart.
The festival of Raksha Bandhan celebrates the brother-sister bond, and the love siblings share.
The meaning of Raksha is to protect and Bandhan is the bondage of love, affection and care.
On the day of Raksha Bandhan, sisters tie a sacred thread on their brother’s wrist, who promises to protect them from all dangers.
Junior section children thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful festival. First they decorated a worksheet on rakhi using various materials. Then the girls tied colorful rakhis to the boys lovingly made by children from the resource class.
They all looked splendid in their traditional outfits.
All the children were given chocolates by the school management.
