The Sao Joao Festival, dedicated to St. John the Baptist, is celebrated on 24th June every year with great zeal in Goa. It is a real treat to watch the local youth with crowns of various flowers, leaves and fruits on their heads going out in processions. The students of P.P. Inter made beautiful paper kopeks by pasting punched flowers on the grass cutout headbands. The children were overjoyed to wear it on their head and go back home
