Ganesh Chaturthi Activity
The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi also know as Vinayak Chaturthi is a Hindu festival celebrated with great enthusiasm all over the country. A 10 day festival is held where clay sculptures of the God are installed in temples and homes. On the last day of the celebration, Ganesha idol is immersed in water amidst the chants of ‘Ganpathi Bappa Moriya’.
Lord Ganesha is a patron of education, intelligence, learning, art, scribes and wisdom. Thus ,he is a remarkable guru to our children.
Everyone is immersed in a cultural extravaganza during this period. Various folk dances, fairs, poetry and drama performances are held to make this festival more joyful.
The students of class 1 were given an opportunity to make a replica of Lord Ganesh using paper craft technique. Activities are a great way to introduce children to festivals and traditions. This creative activity also helped to improve their imagination and thinking skills.
