Diya Sawal of class IV, a budding chess champion,  participated in All Goa state U-10 state championship and was selected to represent Goa in U-10 girls national in Jammu (5 April 2022).

She won Gold medal at National School Chess Championship in U-9 girl’s category held on 15th to 20th May 2022.

She secured 3rd place in Goa State school U-15 boys and girls Rapid Rating  Chess tournament held on 18th and 19th June 2022 at Cujira, K.B Hedgewar school Bambolim organized by Tiswadi Taluka Chess Association.
