Every year on the 24th of June, a centuries old festival of Sao Joao is celebrated all across Goa, accompanied by singing, dancing, music, laughter and much more. A variety of sweet dishes are prepared and flower crowns are woven on heads. A kopel making activity was organised for classes 1-4 where children prepared and decorated their kopels with real, colourful and wild flowers and fruits. Their creativity and kopels were then showcased through a parade. The children had a wonderful time making and wearing them.
