Manovikas Public Charitable Trust marks 50th Anniversary with the launch of the Coffee Table Book – “Where the Mind is Without Fear – The Manovikas Story and the Inauguration of the Media Lab”
The programme began with the Inauguration of the Media Lab “Chitrangan”, by our Chief Guest for the evening Shri. Dhruba Hazarika.
Mrs. Charmaine Barretto, a member of the Manovikas Trust, extended a warm welcome and introduced the much acclaimed and avid Chief Guest to the gathering, followed by a floral welcome to the Chief Guest and former founder members by our Chairman.
Poetry writing is a passion that Tr. Beena Mishra pursues relentlessly. Over a period of time she has progressed gradually from writing down just a couple of thoughts to giving shape to an entire poem full of reflective feelings.
Her first collection of poems titled, “Ek Ansoo Upahar”, comprises of poems that are full of life and rich in content, are written to inspire readers of all walks of life was launched by Shri. Dhruba Hazarika.
Manovikas Public Charitable Trust launched its Coffee Table Book titled “Where the Mind is Without Fear – The Manovikas Story”, at the hands of Shri. Dhruba Hazarika, IAS, former Secretary to Government of Assam and Katha Awardee on 2nd Decemeber 2019, at the Manovikas ‘Prekshak Ghar’ in the presence of our Chairman Mr. Jose Manuel Noronha, Board of Trustees, founder members and Trustees, the Manovikas faculty, guests and well-wishers, who were present on the occasion.
Our Chairman in his address welcomed the Chief Guest and the guests for the launch ceremony and thanked the team that worked arduously in compiling the Coffee Table Book and giving its due silhouette.
Our Chief Guest was taken up by the heart-warming welcome received by him on his arrival at Manovikas School. The smiling faces caught his eye and it reflected “Smile of the mind, without fear”. He requested all of us to continue progressing as an Institution that inculcates values that form a necessary asset in an individual’s life.
Thus, the 50th Anniversary celebrations of Manovikas School came to a close on an affirmative message delivered by Dr. Vinella Gomes: “United we stand”, let us together move forward towards the next fifty years.
